Farewell My Lovely on DVD

Never has an actor more perfectly embodied a character than in Robert Mitchum's portrayal of Philip Marlowe, Raymond Chandler's classic detective Marlow is brought to life in spectacular fashion by Mitchum. Marlowe's case starts when he's employed by an ex convict strait out of jail named Moose, played by Jack O'Halloran, to find his missing girlfriend, Velma. When Marlowe begins his search he's beaten unconscious and wakes up next to a dead body. Marlowe's being setup for the killing and he has to clear his name and reputation. So what on earth does this murder have to do with Moose's missing gal, played by Charlotte Rampling? Marlowe soon finds out that he's caught in between a beauty and a monster as he tirelessly follows each clue clue looking for the truth.

Farewell My Lovely DVD is a cool detective film noir movie and a great throwback to the 40s private detective movies.
